The new office space for accountancy firm Figure It Out is in a Victorian shop fronted terrace situated in Balmain. It is the ground floor level on the main street front.
The design responds to both the heritage constraints of the building and the modern outgoing nature of the client. We achieved this eclectic feel with elements such as the modern curved lime reception desk and the contrasting original Japan black floorboards throughout. It was also important to tie the geographical location into the interior; we did this by way of using natural sandstone for the main wall, which displays the signage.
Overall, creating a practical and functional office with a sense of area, building and client.
